Van Mahotsav Day

The annual Van Mahotsav Day was celebrated at Chowgule Education Society’s, St Joseph’s Institute (Primary), Baina, on 6th July, 2022 in the school premises.

All the students and teachers gathered down to witness the event. The guest for the day Mr. Krishna Salkar (MLA of Vasco) and other dignitaries were welcomed by our students with a sapling.

To commemorate Van Mahotsav, a sapling was planted by the Chief Guest Mr. Krishna Salkar in the presence of other dignitaries, Assistant Headmistress Mrs. Asha Keny, teachers and students.

While addressing the media Mr. Salkar spoke about the importance of tree plantation to conserve and sustain our environment.

Mrs. Asha Keny also briefed the media about how the younger generation need to be made aware about the plantation of trees and its impact on our well being.

The teachers and students also planted various saplings with great enthusiasm.

Van Mahotsav helped to instill the value of social responsibility in students towards safeguarding trees and our environment.

Rotary Club of Vasco too celebrated  Van Mahothsav at our school on 5th July, 2022.  Along with class 4 students, Rotary Club members planted saplings in the campus and also explained the importance of Van Mahothsav.
