Assembly – Class 4 A
Assemblies help students hone their public speaking skills and eliminate their stage fright.
The students of class 4 A conducted an assembly on the 19th of June, 2023 on the topic – ‘Goa Revolution Day’. This day is celebrated every year on the 18th of June. This topic was taken up in order to create awareness among the students about Goa’s Liberation Movement.
The assembly began with a brief information about that day, reciting the poem ‘Otthra June’ (18 June) written by the famous Konkani poet, Manohar Rai Sadessai and talking about the role of two important personalities – Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia and Dr. Juliao Menezes, who led this movement. Two students dressed like them.
The assembly ended with the reading of the newspaper and the thought for the day, followed by the singing of the national anthem.
