Activity to Identify the book genre.
books of different genres were brought to class III. The books were arranged in such a way that they were all visible and easily accessible to all the students. Two teams were formed. Each team member had to come in front and identify the given book in the genre that was told by the teacher.
Through this activity, children got hands-on training to identify the genre of the book they read.The horror books genre was the most favourite genre among the students.
During this activity, we also looked at biographies and autobiographies and understood the difference between these two. Students also understood the difference between fiction and non-fiction through books like historical fiction and historical books.
The students participated in a good spirit. Everyone took turns to identify the given books with the help of their team members.
